Hardly any region in the world is driving decarbonization and electrification with as much determination as Scandinavia. Between fjords, archipelagos, and vast forests, a new energy landscape is taking shape, characterized by a high share of renewable generation, advanced automation, and ongoing digitalization.

For around 20 years, PSI has provided a SCADA system for the critical traction power supply infrastructure of the Swedish railway network. The PSI branch in Karlstad, Sweden, opened in 2017 as a direct result of this long-standing collaboration, providing dedicated support in the customer's local language.

As PSI Scandinavia looks towards potential future markets such as Finland, understanding the requirements of different national environments will remain an important part of its regional development.

The strategic direction for the next five to ten years is clearly defined. Building on its established position in the rail and transmission sectors, PSI Scandinavia is actively expanding strategic partnerships with regional distribution system operators (DSOs) and transmission system operators (TSOs) across the Nordic region.

The long-term objective is to establish PSI Scandinavia as the primary delivery unit for the PSI Group’s energy projects in the Nordic market.

A key milestone on this journey will be CIRED 2027 in Stockholm. When the international electricity distribution community comes together in Sweden’s capital, PSI Scandinavia will have the opportunity to showcase its growing presence on home ground.
